OPC announces MOU with Starcap Energy

OPC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Starcap Energy which brings together the subsurface engineering and geoscience expertise of OPC with the acquisitions and divestiture advisory service provided by Starcap Energy.

The collaboration provides customers of both parties with an integrated service incorporating both technical and commercial expertise to fully support oil and gas transactions.

Oberon Houston, Global Head of Starcap Energy said:

“Our alliance with OPC means that we can provide an individually tailored advisory service specifically designed to meet our client’s requirements. We now have both technical and commercial strength and a global reach”

Piers Johnson, Managing Director of OPC commented;

“I am very excited by the opportunities presented by this agreement with Starcap Energy.  We currently provide technical expertise to support oil and gas transactions and now can add commercial advisory expertise to our clients. I have worked with Rebecca Clayton in the past and look forward to working with her and Oberon in the future.”

This collaboration with Starcap Energy is the latest in a select number of strategic alliances that OPC has formed over the last three years.  Early in 2015, OPC signed an MoU with Advisian WorleyParsons to develop an integrated subsurface and subsea facilities management service.  In 2017 OPC formed an alliance with Fraser Well Management to provide a fully integrated well test planning, management and interpretation solution.  These alliances provide a broader range of services to clients yet at the same time ensure that the specialized expertise of each party is secured.
