Project Completed

OPC Carbon Storage Screening Study – Neptune Energy

OPC is delighted to announce the completion of a Carbon Storage screening study on behalf of Neptune Energy for the Bacton Energy Hub.

The project evaluated several potential carbon stores across the South North Sea including depleted gas fields and saline aquifers.

The main components of development of a Bacton Energy Hub include the re-use of North Sea assets for carbon storage, blue and green hydrogen production and collaboration with offshore wind. Neptune Energy is a core contributor to the Bacton Energy Hub Hydrogen Supply Special Interest Group (SIG). OPC is a core contributor to the Supply Chain SIG.
