OPC carried out a technical review of producing and developing fields in Egypt on behalf of a leading international bank.
This review focussed on updating production forecasts for the fields to support the bank’s re-determination of loan facilities given the low oil price environment. The review examined CAPEX & OPEC data provided by the Payer and providing verification of these inputs to the Client.
This project was a follow-on from work undertaken in 2019 and early 2020 when OPC performed a number of technical reviews on behalf of the bank. In the original project, a number of inaccuracies were identified in the operator’s reports and a more accurate forecast was provided to the bank, which was able to approve the investment decision as a result of the more accurate data we provided.
