Rig Supervisor (offshore drilling) 28/28 rotation

Start Date: ASAP / upon selection
Duration: 2 years
Location: Offshore Qatar, rig based
Rotation: 28 days on / 28 days off

Mandatory Experience (please do not apply unless you meet ALL criteria)

• You were born after January 1969
• Degree or Diploma in a related discipline or >7 years’ experience as a Rig Supervisor
• Valid IWCF or IADC Drilling Well Control Certificate
• Prior Gas Field experience on both Jack-Ups and Land Rigs
• Valid HUET and H2S Certification
• Must be capable of passing offshore medical evaluation (BMI<35)
• Able to communicate / liaise with multi-national crews
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Experience in Multi-National Working Environment
• Commitment to safe, environmentally sound well construction
• Experience with hydrogen sulphide (H2S) well designs and safety practices

Preferred Experience (please state which of these criteria you do not meet)

• Experience in safety leadership positions with Major Operators (please state on CV)
• Prior experience with SHE

Duties

• Supervision of well operations including drilling, completions, work overs, program
• logistics, etc. for multi-site, multi-rig programs.
• Management of shared services for multi-site, multi-rig programs.
• Supervision of multiple onsite and offsite support contractors.
• Implementation and stewardship of SHE Performance Improvement Programs.
• Incident investigations per Company standards, Identification of Root causes and remediation requirements.
• Follow up on Client’s Quality Department and third party inspection of service equipment.
• Create action items, assign it to responsible personnel, and follow up on it to ensure the delivery of objectives in timely manner.
• Create daily detailed and accurate WellView reports
• Interface internally with other Drilling Team members in addition to Client’s stakeholders such as Platform PIC’s, Quality, Logistics, and Subsurface.
• Provide mentorship for the development of National Engineers and junior staff.
